Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today ordered an inquiry into the alleged killing of two youths at Jamalpur colony here.

Talking to media here, Badal said the Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana has been asked to investigate the matter and submit a report in this regard.

Two proclaimed offenders were shot dead yesterday in an alleged encounter with the police here.

A team of police had raided a house at Jamalpur colony here to nab the duo, identified as brothers, Jatinder Singh and Harinder Singh.

Both were wanted by Machiwara police in Khanna police district in a case of attempt to murder.

Replying to a query about the upcoming Haryana assembly elections where the Shiromani Akali Dal is supporting Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), the Chief Minister said that their relations were very "cordial and intimate" and these would not get strained in any case.

"The BJP high command has already been apprised that the Shiromani Akali Dal will support INLD in Haryana as our party supported the INLD even during the recent Lok Sabha elections," said the Chief Minister.

SAD in alliance with INLD is contesting on two seats - Kalanwali and Ambala City in Haryana assembly polls.
