Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal will hoist the National flag in Amritsar on Republic Day while Sukhbir Singh Badal will raise tricolour in Bathinda.
Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Charanjit Singh Atwal and Deputy Speaker Dinesh Singh will hoist the flag at Ludhiana and Dhar Kalan respectively, an official spokesman said.
Giving details of dignitaries who will preside over Republic Day celebrations in other districts, the spokesman informed that Cabinet Minister, Chunni Lal Bhagat will preside over the function in Jalandhar, Ajit Singh Kohar at Kapurthala, Gulzar Sigh Ranike at Gurdaspur, Madan Mohan Mittal at Ropar, Janmeja Singh Sekhon at Ferozepur, Surjit Kumar Jiyani at Hoshiarpur, Bikram Singh Majithia at SAS Nagar, among others.
