Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna today asked people to collectively take on the challenge of reconstructing the calamity-hit state.
Greeting people on new year's eve, Bahuguna said every individual will have to contribute their bit to the reconstruction of the state.
He, however, exuded confidence that Uttarakhand will recover fully from the damages caused by the natural calamity of catastrophic proportions in June.

Despite the huge tragedy that befell the state this year, percentage of expenditure under plan heads has been higher than previous years, he said.
Rs 3,000 crore have so far been spent against sanctions worth Rs 4,662.84 crore this year, he said.
61.11 per cent of the total sanctions were spent last year whereas 64.34 per cent have already been spent this year, the chief minister said.
