Balasubramanya Murthy appointed VC for 2nd term

Dr K N Balasubramanya Murthy has been appointed as Vice Chancellor of PES University for a second term of three years from January 2017, the University said today.

Dr M R Doreswamy, Chancellor - PES University and Founder - PES Institutions, Bengaluru made this appointment following the recommendation of the search committee nominated by its Board of Governors, a release said.

It said Murthy was Principal of PES Institute of Technology from 2006 through 2013, and Director of PESIT and First Vice-Chancellor of PES University from 2014 till now.

He is a BE from Mysore University, Post Graduate from Indian Institute of Science and PhD from IIT-Madras, it said, adding, he has 35 years of teaching and research experience.
