Bandh observed demanding action against Mayawati, leaders

A bandh was today observed here demanding action against BSP supremo Mayawati and other leaders for allegedly using derogatory language against expelled BJP leader Dayashankar Singh.

All shops remained closed and transport services were affected during the bandh called by the office-bearers of Student Union of Degree College and various traders organisations.

No untoward incident was reported from any part of the district, SP Manoj Jha said, adding adequate security arrangements have been made to maintain law and order.
