Bank officer held for accepting bribe

A bank officer was arrested by an anti-corruption team for allegedly accepting bribe from a farmer to increase the credit limit of his Kisan credit card in Gandwar area here, police said today.
Pankaj Srivastava, an officer of Poorvanchal Bank, was arrested yesterday while taking a bribe of Rs 4,000 from Mukesh, a farmer, to extend the credit limit of his Kisan credit card from Rs 60,000 to Rs 80,000, they said.
A case has been registered against Srivastava, police said.
