Global health and wellness company Bausch + Lomb is mulling to expand its surgical business product portfolio in India.
"We plan to expand our surgical business product portfolio in India. The development is in line with the company's strategy to extend and strengthen its presence in the growing ophthalmology surgical devices and instruments market in the country," the company said in release.
The recent acquisition of Synergetics USA, Inc will provide additional impetus to the firm's portfolio expansion plans in the country, it said.

"The addition of Synergetics' product portfolio will further consolidate our presence in India's expanding sector of vitreoretinal surgery," Bausch + Lomb India Managing Director Sanjay Bhutani said.
The company is also considering to launch its product VersaVIT 2.0 Vitrectomy System, along with all the instruments and accessories ranging from illumination probes, packs, laser probes, filters, cannulas and other instruments.
