Bengal and Assam schools record big wins in Subroto Cup

Bengal's Ashokenagar Boys' Seconday School and Assam's Betkuchi High School notched up identical 11-0 wins over their opponents as goals continued to rain on the fourth day of Subroto Cup International football tournament here on Friday.

Rajibul Islam, Md. Jahedi Hasan and Mujibar Mondal scored a hat-trick each as the Bengal school beat Our Lady Mount Carmel School of Goa 11-0 in their Pool D match.

In Pool G, Betkuchi High School, Sawkuchi (Guwahati) routed Sainik School, Tilaiya (Koderma) in Jharkhand 11-0.

In another Pool G mach, Govt. Orient Higher Secondary School, Edathanathukara (Palakkad) in Kerala defeated Mamta Modern Senior Secondary School, New Delhi 6-0.

In Pool A, Shri Lilanand High School, Jasidih (Deoghar) in Jharkhand won 6-0 against Pathways World School, International Board of Schools (IBSO), Gurgaon.

In Pool F, SAI, NSEC in Kolkata drew 2-2 with Maharana Pratap Sports College, Raipur (Dehradun) in Uttarakhand.
