Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said that holy Shrimad Bhagwad Gita is not only a religious scripture, but also a symbol of respect and essence of the spiritual system.
Addressing a gathering after inaugurating the exhibition organised by various departments and social institutions here today, Khattar said that the messages derived from the Gita "work significantly in taking our lifestyle further and we can put an end to various social evils prevalent in the society by following such messages."
The Chief Minister appreciated the information pertaining to Saraswati Heritage displayed in three stalls and lessons of Gita on panels and hoardings put up by the Information, Public Relations and Cultural Affairs Department, according to an official release here.

Khattar said, these messages have to be taken to the public. "This can be done in a better manner by organising such mahotsavas," he added.
Khattar went around the exhibition and inspected the stalls of horticulture, agriculture, education, irrigation, fisheries, animal husbandry, women and child development departments, Haryana State Legal Services Authority and stalls of other social institutions, the release added.
