Bison kills 55-year old estate worker

An estate worker was gored to death by a bison today when he was plucking tea leaves in the land at Kattabettu, about 30 km from here, police said.

Kanagaraj was busy plucking leaves this evening when the animal attacked him and gored him in the stomach.

He was rushed to the government hospital in Kothagiri, from where he was referred to the government hospital in Coimbatore.

However, he died on the way, police said.
