BJP accuses UPCL officer of using fake documents for promotion

The state BJP today accused a senior Uttarakhand Power Corporation Ltd officer of getting promotion on the basis of "fake" educational certificates and demanded the state government order a probe into it.

Pradesh BJP Spokesman Vinay Goel at a press conference here accused P C Dhyani, Director, UPCL Human Resource, of producing "fake" engineering and law degrees to get himself elevated to his current post.

He also accused that Dhyani later got the "fake" documents removed from the official files.

Dhyani has only his graduation degree in UPCL records now, which do not qualify him for the post he holds, Goel said.
 

Terming it as an "act of fraud" committed by a highly-placed official in the UPCL, the BJP leader said the state government should institute a probe into it immediately.
