BJP leader shot dead in Jharkhand

A 56-year-old local BJP leader was shot dead by unidentified persons here, police said today.

Bhagawat Rout shot at last night. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead, Superintendent of Police Vipul Shukla.

Rout was a former member of the district board, BJP sources said.
