BJP MLA's daughter commits suicide

The 17-year-old daughter of BJP MLA Satish Reddy allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence at Bommanahalli area in the city, police said.

The minor, a first year pre university student, hanged herself from a ceiling fan at her residence at Bommannahalli last night, they said.

The incident came to light when one of the family members went to call her for dinner, police said.

A family dispute is suspected to be the reason for her taking the extreme step.
