BJP MP seeks CAG audit of Mumbai Metro project

BJP Lok Sabha member from Mumbai Kirit Somaiya today demanded a CAG audit of the Mumbai Metro One project.

The project has seen massive cost escalations which will be passed on to consumers as fare hikes, Somaiya said.

He claimed that the project cost, which was originally pegged at Rs 2,356 crore, has shot up to Rs 4,321 crore.
