The Opposition BJP today refused to ask questions related to Health department protesting the absence of state health minister Tej Pratap Yadav in the state Legislative Council.

When RJD member and state minister Shivchander Ram stood up to answer questions on the Health department, the BJP members protested the absence of Yadav.

As part of the protest, three BJP members refused to ask questions related to the Health department.

Leader of Opposition in the Council Sushil Kumar Modi and senior minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav also had a heated exchange over the minister's absence from the House.

Former chief minister Rabri Devi attacked BJP for "unnecessarily" making an issue in the House.

Later Sushil Modi told reporters "Under the present government this is happening regularly which is not right. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar must ensure that the questions asked should be replied by the minister concerned."

"If the Health minister faces difficulty in answering questions, BJP will assist him," he said in a lighter vein.
