Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer and Research Centre (BMCHRC) will felicitate about 1,000 cancer survivor at a function here on February 18.
On the 15th 'Cancer Vijay Diwas' on February 18, the hospital has invited 1,000 patients whose conditions improved after successful treatment, BMCHRC Medical Director S C Pareek said here.
BMCHRC received a total of 12,448 patients from Rajasthan and other parts of the country in 2014, Pareek said, adding that of them, 88 per cent were from Rajasthan and the rest from other states.

Navratan Kothari, BMCHRC Chairman, said a sum of Rs 70 lakh was spent on the care of cancer patients belonging to BPL families in the past year as 3 per cent of the hospital's income was being spent on these patients every year.
Dr Srigopal Kabra, a senior expert at the hospital and medical author, said BMCHRC got the maximum accessibility of patients from entire Rajasthan.
