Bodies of teenaged boy and girl found

Mutilated bodies of a 17-year-old girl and a 18-year-old boy were found on the railway track near Panposh in Odisha's Sundargarh district today indicating a suicide pact, police said.

The bodies with multiple injury marks and severed parts were lying on the track on Brahmani river bridge when locals spotted them, inspector in-charge of Bisra police station Susant Kumar Das said.

"We informed the family members of the deceased about the incident after we received the information from railway police," he said.

M Hansda, IIC, GRP said the information on the bodies received this morning and it was presumed the two died sometime last night.
 

While intial inquiry indicated that they might have committed suicide, investigation was on to ascertain the fact and the circumstances, she said.

The boy's identity card showed that he was a student of Lahunipara College, while the girl was studying in Sushilabati Women's College in the steel city, the police said adding the girl hailed from Tuslikani village of Bisra and the boy belonged to Talbahali Lahunipara.
