Body of girl found lying naked in fields

The naked body of a 12-year-old girl was found lying in a field in a village here, police said today.

The girl had gone out into the fields in search of her brother in the morning in Mundala village. When she did not return after long, relatives began a search and found her body lying in a naked condition with hands and legs tied, police said.

Police suspect it to be a case of murder after rape, and are investigating the matter.
