Body of a 44-year-old trader with deep neck injuries was found inside his shop in Badaut area, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Satyendra Singh, they said.
Singh was allegedly killed by some unidentified persons inside his shop in Islampur village this morning. Deep injury marks on his neck and face were found. This indicates that the victim was hit with a blunt object, police said.
A case has been filed and the body has been sent for postmotem, it said.
