The Madras High Court was Wednesday informed that an FIR has been registered against three people in connection with the alleged forgery of High Court orders on a complaint made by a trust in Namakkal district.
When the criminal original petition filed by the JKK Rangammal Charitable Trust came up before Justice PN Prakash, the Namakkal police inspector submitted that an FIR has been registered on its complaint.
"Apart from criminal prosecution, criminal contempt to be initiated against the accused under the contempt of Courts Act," the judge said.
The judge then directed the court registry to place the papers of the case before the Chief Justice to facilitate constitution of a division bench to hear the criminal contempt that has to be initiated against the accused.
Muruganandam, Sundaram and Angamuthu had allegedly forged the court stay orders in connection with a lower court eviction orders against them in a trust property dispute.
