A Gorakhpur-bound Jet Airways plane, with 55 passengers and four crew onboard, was delayed by about two hours following a bomb threat call, which later turned out to be a hoax.
Jet Airways flight (9W-2467) from Delhi to Gorakhpur, operated by an ATR aircraft, was scheduled to depart at 1330 hours, but at around 1230 hours, the airline office received a phone call which said there was a bomb in the plane, sources said.
Following which the plane was taken to an isolation bay for a thorough check and cleared for take-off after nothing was found, they said.
