A bomb-like object found on the

rooftop of a government veterinary hospital here today sparked panic prompting authorities to summon a bomb disposal squad but it turned out to be a false alarm.

The ball-like object containing fire-cracker material was found on the rooftop of a veterinary hospital in Purani Basti area here, police said.

A Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) rushed to the spot and found it to be a fire-cracker with no operating system, Nahargarh police said.

The object of the size of a cricket ball was spotted by a sweeper this morning who informed the hospital administration about it, they said.

It created panic in the area but the rumour was immediately cleared by a BDS report, police said.
