A Muzaffarnagar-based businessman died in mysterious circumstances at a Paharganj hotel while his family accused his associate of "murdering" him for the money he was carrying.
Shahnawaj, 37, who was an event organiser had come to Delhi from Muzaffarnagar on Saturday morning alongwith his partner Yusuf and his woman friend.
They had come to the city to explore chances of opening a bar and restaurant and the victim was allegedly carrying a cash of Rs 25 lakh.

Shahnawaj's brother Shahbaz accused that his brother was murdered for the money he was carrying to invest in his business plan.
He said,"I got the news of my brother's death from the police today morning. They told me that he fell down from the fourth floor of a hotel last night."
"Shahnawaj allegedly fell down from the fourth floor of the hotel at around 12 last night. He was taken to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead," said a senior police officer.
The police is probing the case and action will be taken after receiving the post mortem report and considering other facts, he added.
