Car plunges into gorge, 2 die

A man and his wife were killed and three injured when a car in which they were travelling rolled down into a deep gorge near Jhakri, 135-km from here, today.

The accident happened at around 9 AM when the driver of the car was negotiating a sharp bend, police said.

Sagar Thapa and his wife Neha died while three received injuries and admitted to a nearby hospital, they said.

Thapa, who belongs to Nahan, was employed at NHPC-owned power project at Jhakri.
