Cardamom prices rebounded by 0.51% to Rs 804.50 per kg in futures trading today as traders created fresh positions, driven by pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in far-month June rose Rs 4.10, or 0.51%, to Rs 804.50 per kg, in a business turnover of 12 lots.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in May edged up by Rs 3.50, or 0.46%, to Rs 770.40 per kg in 46 lots.
Market analysts said participants built up fresh positions after pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly led to the rise in cardamom prices at futures trade.
