Cardamom futures rose by 2.54 per cent to Rs 875 per kg in futures trade today after speculators created their positions mostly driven by rising demand against thin arrivals in spot markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in October rose by Rs 21.70, or 2.54 per cent, to Rs 875 per kg, with a business turnover of 65 lots.
The delivery in November also up by Rs 4.90, or 0.59 per cent, to Rs 832.80 per kg, with a trading volume of 444 lots.
Market analysts said rising spot and exporters demand against restricted arrivals from producing regions, mainly influenced cardamom prices at futures market.
