Case registered against one in the death of Bitasta Saha

The Police have started a case against one person for the death of actress Bitasta Saha.

A case under IPC section 306 (Abetment of suicide) was registered against one Saikat Mitra based on the complaint of Bitasta's mother Gita Rani Saha, a police officer said.

"We have started investigation into the allegations. Nobody has been arrested till now and we are waiting for the post mortem report," the officer said.

The Police had yesterday recovered the semi-decomposed body of Bitasta from her flat in the southern part of the city.
