Cashew prices rose by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today on fresh buying by retailers and stockists on higher demand from bulk consumers to meet ongoing wedding season demand.
Further, tight stocks following fall in supplies from growing regions also supported the uptrend.
Cashew kernel No 180, No 210, No 240 and No 320 rose Rs 5 each to conclude at Rs 790-800, Rs 715-725 Rs 630-640 and Rs 585-590 per kg, respectively.

Marketmen said increased buying by retailers and stockists against restricted supplies from growing belts, mainly pushed up cashew prices to rise.
