Cashier of a nationalised bank was today booked for alleged fraud of over Rs 46 lakhs in Dabalana area of the district today.
A case of fraud was registered against the branch cashier of Central Cooperative Bank Vipul Yadav, said Rohit Meena, Station House Officer of Dablana police station.
The cashier, who is undergoing medical treatment, is yet to be arrested. He had attempted suicide by consuming poison on Friday after the fraud was exposed, the police official said.

Administrative Officer (AO) of District Office of the bank, Mulchand Dhabai, said the fraud was exposed yesterday when a bank customer found only Rs 570 instead of Rs 9 lakhs 78,000 which he had deposited in his account of the branch a few days back.
Following the direction of the higher officials of the bank, a case of fraud was lodged today against the accused cashier, the officer said.
A departmental team of bank officials is also probing into the mater and would submit its report tomorrow,
Meanwhile, the accused cashier attempted to commit suicide by consuming poison yesterday at his home and was rushed to the district hospital in an unconscious state.
