PMK founder leader S Ramadoss today appealed to political parties, farmers and traders to support the April 11 Tamil Nadu bandh called by a body led by his son and MP Anbumani Ramadoss to press formation of Cauvery Management Board.

Recalling his party's support to all protests, including a shutdown held by DMK and others yesterday over the Cauvery issue, Ramadoss said similarly his party will fully support the call for a "bandh and general strike," on April 11 by the Cauvery Rights Protection Federation.

The PMK leader, in a statement said it was the duty of all Tamil people to mount "huge pressure," on the Centre to make it form the Cauvery Management Board which has "not done that despite a Supreme Court order."

He sought the support of political parties, farmers, traders, trade unions, students bodies, fishermen associations, and women forums to fully support the bandh call and make it a success.

In Puducherry, PMK local convenor K Dhanraj said the bandh would be held in the union territory also and sought the support of all sections of the people.
