A branch manager of Punjab National Bank in Bihar's Rohtas district was today caught red-handed by the CBI while accepting a bribe of Rs 1.50 lakh for clearing a loan under the Prime Minister's Employment Guarantee Scheme.
CBI sources said Branch Manager Ajay Kumar was arrested this evening from his residence in Kochas while he was accepting the bribe from the complainant.
The complainant had alleged that the branch manager was demanding bribe for clearing his loan of Rs 10 lakh for setting his business.
CBI spokesperson said here today that the accused will be produced before the special CBI court tomorrow for further action.
