CBI today raided four places used by two people accused of running an unauthorised commodity exchange in the name of 'MCX' and seized incriminating documents from them.

Four places associated with two accused identified as Amit Soni and Anurag Soni were raided for running an unauthorised commodity exchange, a CBI spokesman said here.

In March, the CBI had registered a case under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code and relevant sections of the Information Technology Act, on the request of the Madhya Pradesh government.

Allegedly, both duped a number of people in the name of allowing them to trade in their commodity exchange by giving them fake user identities and passwords, using a special software.

Through this software, unauthorised sales and purchases were transacted.
