Centre approves of list of three nominated legislators

Union Home Ministry has communicated to Puducherry government the decision of the Centre to induct V Bhalan, J Ayyanar and M Visweswaran as nominated members of Puducherry Assembly.

The government had sometime back forwarded the list to the Union Home Ministry.

The nomination has been done in keeping with the provisions of the Section 3 (3) of the Government of Union Territories Act 1963, a release said.

They would be formally inducted as nominated members on September 4.

Bhalan and Ayyanar are the functionaries of the ruling AINRC Visweswaran is the president of Puducherry State unit of the BJP.
