Charge sheet against three former inmates of juvenile home

Three former inmates of a juvenile home have been chargesheeted here for allegedly sodomising another minor at the observation and reformation facility.

The charge sheet was filed in a juvenile court by the police yesterday against the three accused, who had been shifted to jail as they were no longer minors.

According to prosecution, an FIR was lodged with the police by the Assistant Superintendent of government juvenile home, Atul Kumar Soni, on August 16 this year that a 16-year-old inmate was sodomised by three other residents of the home. The accused had also threatened to kill the victim if he told anyone about the incident.
 

The victim was medically examined and the report confirmed sexual assault, they said.

During investigation, police collected evidence and recorded statements of the victim and other inmates as well as the complainant.

The three inmates were earlier allegedly involved in cases of rape and robbery, according to sources.
