Charlotte Church suffers miscarriage

Charlotte Church has suffered a miscarriage, it was announced on the singer's official Twitter account.

Church was expecting her third child, her first baby with boyfriend Jonathan Powell.

"Charlotte and Jonny are very sad to announce that they lost their baby. Now is a time for grieving and being together as a family. We kindly ask everyone to respect that peace," the post on the singer's account read.

The classical musician revealed she was pregnant with her third child during a performance at a Gay Pride event in Birmingham, England, in May.

Church has two children - daughter Ruby, 9, and son Dexter, 8 - from a previous relationship with rugby player Gavin Henson.
