Charutar Vidyamanadal Chairman undergoes cancer rectum surgery

Dr C L Patel, Chairman, Charutar Vidyamandal, Gujarat, has recently undergone laparoscopic cancer rectum surgery at the city-based Gem Hospital and Research Centre.

This surgery avoided permanent colostomy and Patel, based at Vallabh Vidyanagar, was totally recovered, Dr C Palanivelu, chief surgeon of the hospital said.

On greeted by Palanivelu with a bouquet on his 80th birth day today, Patel acknowledged stating that this advanced surgery was 'the best birth day gift.
