In range-bound trade, chilli prices shot up by 1.36% to Rs 10,448 per quintal in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions, supported by an upsurge in demand in spot markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, chilli for delivery in August spurted by Rs 140, or 1.36% to Rs 10,448 per quintal with an open interest of 160 lots.
