West Bengal CID today arrested one drug kingpin from Jalangi in Murshidabad district.
Acting on a tip off the CID today raided a place in Domkal area of the district arrested the 47-year-old drug kingpin called Rijaul Sheikh, a senior officer of the agency said.
"Sheikh has been arrested in connection with an investigation in a case registered in Dankuni police station," the officer said.
Sheikh has been booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS Act), he said.
The CID also recovered banned Phensedyl cough syrup from his possession, the officer said.
