CII hails inclusion of Puducherry in list of smart cities

Puducherry chapter CII today welcomed the inclusion of Puducherry by the Union Urban Development Ministry in the list of smart cities.

Chairman of the chapter R D Srikanth said in a release that Puducherry would get resources to focus on the development of tourism, infrastructures, beautification of beaches, supply of assured water and power supply round the clock and other facilities due to teh smart city facitlity.

Srikanth said the smart city mission would benefit all communities including trade and industry.
