ClearTax, UBI pact to help bank staff,customers e-file returns

Online tax filing portal ClearTax has tied up with the Union Bank of India to help the lender's employees as well as customers file tax returns.

"ClearTax recently extended its platform's seamless tax filing experience by announcing its partnership with Union Bank of India (UBI)", the company said in a statement.


FreeCharge inks pact with McDonald's

* Digital payments platform FreeCharge has partnered with Westlife Development, owner of the master franchisee for McDonald's west and south India operations.

Under the exclusive partnership, McDonald's has implemented FreeCharge wallet to enable customers make swifter and safer payments, it said in a statement.


Informatica appoints Anil Chakravarthy as CEO * Technology firm Informatica today said it has elevated Anil Chakravarthy as its Chief Executive Officer.

Bruce Chizen, former CEO of Adobe Systems, Inc, will assume the role of Executive Chairman, Informatica said in a statement.


Mulye steps down as Independent Director in Tata Power * Tata Power today said Vishakha V Mulye, an Independent (Woman) Director, has stepped down after she was appointed as Executive Director of ICICI Bank Ltd.

"The Board places on record its appreciation for the valuable contribution made to the company by Mulye during her tenure as Director," Tata Power said in a BSE filing.

ETV's 3 newly launched channels available on Tata Sky

* ETV Network, which recently launched three regional channels for Assam/NE, Tamil Nadu and Kerala under News18 brand, will now be available on Tata Sky.

Panorama Television owns and operates regional channels under the ETV brand. It is a part of the Network 18 Group, which is owned by Reliance Industries.


Maharaja Whiteline unveils new range of air coolers * Maharaja Whiteline, owned by Groupe SEB, has unveiled its new range of desert and personal air coolers.

The range comprises of three desert and six personal coolers, which are aesthetically superior, performance driven and energy efficient models.


BNRG Renewable, Langmead Group completes 20 MW solar projs * Irish solar company BNRG Renewables in colaboration with the UK-based agribusiness Langmead Group completed 20 MW solar projects in March.

With project funding from HSBC, the company intends to hold the four 5 MW projects located in West Sussex and Wales, the company said in a statement.

The 78,000 solar PV panels required for the projects were supplied by Tata Power Solar.


Schneider Electric's Anil Chaudhry conferred Legion of Honour * Schneider Electric India MD and Country President Anil Chaudhry has been awarded with France's highest civilian award, the Legion of Honour.

The award was conferred upon Anil Chaudhry by Ambassador of France to India, Francois Richier, during a ceremony held on Monday.

Kony, Cognizant partner to develop mobile enterprise solutions * Cloud-based enterprise mobility solutions firm Kony and IT company Cognizant today said they will jointly develop and deliver solutions spanning enterprise mobile applications, mobile app design, and mobile back-end services for industries like banking, healthcare and retail.

In a joint statement, the companies said they will deliver expertise in enterprise mobility solutions and digital transformation.

The statement further said clients will have access to a robust mobile middleware back-end service, Cognizant's digital fabric, based on Kony's MobileFabric for enterprise-grade mobile services.


ISFC's Rs 12-cr NCDs fully subscribed

* The Indian School Finance Company (ISFC) today announced that Michael & Susan Dell Foundation has fully subscribed


Rs 12 crore issuance of non-convertible debenture.

ISFC said it is the first-of-its kind debt instrument aimed to catalyze improved student learning outcomes in affordable-private schools in India.

Rahil Rangwala, Director, Family Economic Stability, Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, said: "We found ISFC's strategy and focus around quality outcomes for low-income students to align well with our own mission-driven objectives.
