CM directs issuance of CR for 'scam-tainted' official

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today directed issuance of compulsory retirement to a senior official for his alleged involvement in the in-famous Deogarh land scam.

The orders against Mithilesh Kumar Jha, a Jharkhand Administrative Service officer, was issued after a probe found him "guilty" in the case of disappearance of land records, an official release said here tonight.

Jha was in-charge of Store of Records when the scam surfaced a couple of years ago, the release said.
