Coal dispatches grows 8.6 pc

"In the April-October period, coal dispatch was 253.7 million tonnes. This represents a growth of 8.6 per cent over same period last year," Jaiswal said at the 30th Foundation Day of Coal India here.

He added that production of coal was up by 8.5 per cent, which is 18 million tonne incremental production over last year.

"Supply to power sector was six per cent more during this period," Jaiswal said.
