Cody Simpson's sister hospitalised

Pop star Cody Simpson's singer sister Alli is recovering in a hospital after a hoverboard accident.

The 17 year old took to Twitter to post a photo of herself lying in a hospital bed, hooked up to several monitors.

"Welcome to the hospital Alli. Karma... Never liked those dumb hover boards anyway," she added the caption.

Her mother, Angie Simpson, said her daughter was taken to the emergency room via ambulance following the scary accident. It is unclear how badly Alli was injured.
