It was a cold day in the national capital with the minimum temperature settling at 7.4 degrees Celsius.
Due to moderate fog in the morning hours, visibility was low. It was 500 m at Safdarjung at 8.30 am and 600 m at 11.30 am. Visibility improved to 1,000 meters at 2.30 pm.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 18.9 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average, an MeT department official said.

The weatherman has forecast clear skies along with dense fog during the morning hours for tomorrow.
"The maximum and minimum temperatures tomorrow are expected to hover around 21 degrees Celsius and 6 degrees Celsius respectively," the MeT office said.
Yesterday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 17 degrees Celsius and 9.4 degrees Celsius respectively.
