Cold front to chill north China, rain to soak south

Cold air cooling north China is moving eastward while rain will linger in the south, the weather observatory forecast today.
Cold front will bring snow and sleet to parts of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and the Yellow River and the Huaihe River valleys, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) said.
The ensuing wind and temperature drops will disperse fog and smog lingering in the north.
