The 36-year-old Irish star, who entered rehab in 2005 for addiction to prescription and recreational drugs, said he took full advantage of his fame after his breakthrough role in the 2002 sci-fi hit "Minority Report" and fell into a downward spiral of substance abuse, reported Daily Star.
"I had burned so many bridges in the film industry that I couldn't get a meeting. But now I'm just enjoying life...
"One of the big things that I was drawn to about drugs was the ritual. I don't put the same level of energy into healthy living as I did into unhealthy living, but I eat really well, drink loads of green tea, and take a load of vitamins... Life has mutated to take on this sweet simplicity that I am really OK with," he said.
