Collector avails services of Government hospital

The District Collector has availed the services of Erode Government Headquarters Hospital by admitting his mother for treatment instead of the practice of utilising the services of super speciality hospitals.

Official sources said usually there is a notion among the people to admit their family members and also recommending others for treatment in private nursing homes and corporate hospitals.

Breaking practice Dr V K Shanmugam has arranged treatment for his 81-year-old ailing mother Lakshmi, the sources said.
