The commerce ministry will develop a national logistics portal as a single window market place to link all stakeholders, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today said.
The development would help simplify processes for logistics related to exports and imports, besides cutting transactions costs for traders.
"Department of Commerce will be developing a National Logistics Portal as a single window online market place to link all stakeholders," Jaitley said in his Budget speech.

The commerce ministry is working on a comprehensive action plan to reduce cost of exports, imports and domestic logistics in the country.
The national integrated logistics action plan would focus on making logistics more efficient through easing of processes, induction of information technology and coordinated enhancement of logistics infrastructure in the country.
