Senior Congress leader Vinod Sharma today joined opposition Peoples Democratic Party in Jammu and Kashmir
"After resigning as General Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee, Vinod Sharma joined PDP," a spokesman of the opposition party said here.
Sharma was welcomed into the party fold by PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, the spokesman said, adding that senior party leader and candidate from Pattan Assembly constituency Molvi Imran Raza Ansari was also present on the occasion.

Sharma said he was impressed by PDP's leadership "progressive agenda" and "development approach".
He said the PDP leadership "values and respects" sentiments of the common people.
