The Congress is likely to boycott Goa Governor Mridula Sinha's address to the state Assembly tomorrow.

"We are likely to boycott her speech. The final call on the boycott would be taken during the Congress Legislature party meeting scheduled at 10.30 AM in the Assembly complex," Leader of Opposition Chandrakant Kavlekar told PTI today.

Kavlekar claimed that their boycott would be to protest against "partial behaviour of the Governor."

"Goa Governor has acted against the Indian Constitution. Congress which is having the largest number of MLAs was not given chance to form the government. She was partial towards BJP," alleged Kavlekar.

He pointed out that the party has already protested against the Governor in the Rajya Sabha and it should continue in Goa Assembly by boycotting the speech.

The three-day long Budget session began today with the election of the Speaker of the Assembly. The Chief Minister would present the State Budget on March 24.
